Musk did it again. In addition to its space studies, SpaceX does not neglect to offer a visual feast to space enthusiasts. SpaceX has released eye-catching images showing one of its rocket engines burning up against the backdrop of a beautiful sunset in orbit. Here are the details…
SpaceX shared images of the Falcon 9 engine burning on social media!
SpaceX shot the video on Wednesday night while observing the launch. Musk’s private space company flew part of the Ovzon 3 mission from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He filmed the Merlin vacuum engine on the second stage of the Falcon 9 rocket powering the payload to deploy a Swedish broadband satellite.
Images are not limited to just this. Additionally, SpaceX shared other details about the mission with space enthusiasts. He showed off a series of stunning images on his social media accounts showing the Falcon 9 taking off and the safe return of the first stage booster. Eight minutes after launch, the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket made a successful landing at the base.
This was the 10th flight of the mission-specific first stage booster. This particular booster has previously launched CRS-26, OneWeb Launch 16, Intelsat IS-40e, O3b mPOWER and five Starlink missions. Each successful landing gives hope for the study of a reusable space flight system, the goal of which is always possible. Because in this way, SpaceX plans to reduce the cost of space flight.
The Elon Musk-led spaceflight company has launched more than 100 Falcon Rockets in 2023. This number is a record for SpaceX. The company plans to have more than 100 launches in 2024 for the first time since its founding 22 years ago. Moreover, this is very important not only for SpaceX but for all space studies. Thanks to SpaceX, the number of private space ventures has increased along with the competition. In this way, the mysterious curtain of space will be opened more easily.
